Hi Sandflite,

I think this boat is located in Germany. I have seen this picture before on this website, with a lot of ships from the former DDR. At the bottom of that page there are a whole bunch of Volga's.

The picture says that it is from the archive of G.Malzahn. He contacted me some time ago, but to my shame I lost that email. I will dig through my mail archives and see if I can recover the mail. Then we can ask whose Volga's we see on that page, and what is the current status of these beautiful boats...

As far as I can see there is an outboard engine, so I'm interested in construction of the stern.

I think that boat is located in Sweden, Göta kanal.
Guy told me before I saw the picture, I´ll try to get in contact with him and get back to you.

Now the yellow one is my boat. At the photo it was located in Usedom, former GDR.

thank you. I am near of you in Moenchengladbach.
Now I am in a refit project with the boat. There is something to do.
1. New bracket for the engine
2. New Cabbin
3. New wodden deck
4. New colour

A lot to do as you see. I know, the design is far away from the original. But there is far too much, what can't be restored.
I take pictures from the work. Maybe I post it here in the forum.

And may be we see us on Ijselmeer next year.

It would be nice to meet some of the volga owners. Shouldn't we organize a meeting next summer at Enkhuizen or so. And if someone has a mind to join can come. what do yu think?
