Thanks Volgovod, Sorry for my late reply :-) The axle is 35 mm and I measure the internal diameter of the insert - where the bearing goes in - to be 45,4 mm. Do you keep the bearing in place just by squeezing it in, or do you allso use other ways? I would sure hate to have it falling out during sail...

Any suggestions on what was used originally and what to use to day?

Hi Juoko, Thank you for the pictures. I had my wet eyes glued to that boat, but got to the seller too late
I happened to stumple over an old hull i Denmark. A lot of work need to be done.
