scanned line drawings?

Hi Everyone:

I am very close to finishing the restoration/radical modernization of my Volga. (I live in San Francisco, California.) All of the mechanical work has been completed, and I am about to begin the paint/interior. It has the potential to be pretty amazing, and I want it to resemble my aerobatic biplane and Russian Fighter. For my designers to do their best work, I need a line drawing to use as an underlay. Any leads would be welcomed. The blueprint on the site is potentially useful, but it is fairly faint.

On a related note, I just came across the picture of Regimantas Sermontiss boat, and this is the first Volga I've seen that captures a look similar to what I am trying for. I would love to get some more pictures of the interior, as well as to communicate directly with the owner or workmen who did the work. Top designer swiss replica watches for men sale online.

Hi Adam,

I created a line-drawing of the side-view of the blueprints for exactlye the same purpose. You can download it here. Not 100% accurate, because the blueprint it was based on has been pieced together from a total of 20 huge scans.

The same blueprint with top/side/front view is currently being recreated/restored in AutoCAD by another hydrofoil enthusiast, Scott Smith. The front-view is already done and looks stunning, but the other views are not yet finished. As soon as all is done I will post them on this website for all to enjoy. These images will be probably be much more accurate than my line-drawing.


As for contacting Regimantas Sermontis: you could ask Malin Dixon of foils.org (see http://www.foils.org/gallery/volgaall.htm) to forward your mail, although I also tried and never got a reply.

Hi Adam,

Some ideas about Russian fighters and typical painting of them...
Usual colors: Grey (different shades), white and red. Nowadays they are similar.
Might look too much Russian Air Force like, but gives the feel of
a fighter plane. Want some more? You may find them all in the internet.

I'll go for something similar, in civil version (Grey,White,Red,Wood&Chrome) avoiding camouflage patterns
and red stars. (We live in Nato Countries, bordering Russia and this might be misunderstood!?).

Are you having some photos or drawings of what you want to do?

Hi,

Some more ideas about a dashboard to apply. You have a lot of junkyards around, where you can get
nice US automotive dashboards you can use for a Volga, too. 50ties and 60ties US Automotive industry
was very much inspired by the SPACE AGE and all this was reflected in various Detroit models, whether
they were designed by Harley Earl (GM), Lee Iacoca (Ford) or Virgil Exner (Chrysler).

Here some ideas about what I am going to do ....

I can not find here same parts as we do not have such supply and we can not import it, so I am going
to make something similar with some customizers in red leather, stainless steel and aluminium.
